Something that has always inspired me about the people who I look up to, is their stories. There’s something within in them that I connect to, something that inspires me to be a better me because well, they’ve done it and so, I can too.
I’ve really had it on my heart to share with you ladies why I began a blog in the first place and what drives me to post the type of post I post. Say that ten times fast.
I truly have a passion for style and creating beautiful and inspiring content for all of my followers. My blog reflects my true love for fashion. I started my blog in 2016 but because I was not consistent it did not really take off. So in 2017 I decided to be dedicated and focused on my blog to revamp as a brand in 2018. It’s defently a challenge but its well worth the ride. Blogging opened up so many doors for me and turned my life around and I get to do what I love.
What I learned over time is that you really need to have some style and grace to lead a team to victory. Once I learned to lead from being myself, I could lead a room full of people quiet easily. I caught my stride. But it hasn’t always been that way.
I remember my former pastor telling me about how she saw me “leading a room”, or a group of people with a sense of calm, style and grace. And this meant the most to me from any feedback anyone has ever giving me. I felt like she was one of the only person who believed in who I was and encouraged me to simply, do more of that.
This feedback meant the world to me because it showed me how far I have come. I built all of that calm, style and grace myself. A true, self-made lady. And with everything that has happened in my past, its felt like a true battle to even have that or any skill set at all (let alone, a degree in organizing chaos when what I mostly felt was Chaos within myself). Life’s a trip, no?
It’s been on my heart to share all of this with you because when someone reads my blog they might see an absolute positive, inspiring place. And that’s not a bad thing. This place inspires me to be a better me too! But deeper than that. We are all what we create for ourselves. And I think it’s so incredibly powerful that you can create the type of person you would like to be when that person was nowhere to be seen at all (not even a little bit).
In my EUNIQUE mission, I write about elevating ourselves into best versions of ourselves we can be. I don’t write about these things from a shallow place, girl. I’ve been to those dark places too and I know what it feels like. It’s not always perfect, either. It so isn’t. But what’s important is the steps we take when we’re saying yes to the journey.
If you”ve read this far, thank you. I cherish you being apart of this community of self-made women taking it to “the next level” despite struggles with motivation, direction, mental health and low self-esteem. Trust me, I’ve been there too many times to count.
But through it all, I absolutely and 100% believe in us and all that we’ve set out to accomplish.
Remember, you got a girlfriend in me!
