It’s crazy to think that me and these men style-preneurs have so much in common, but are so different at the same time. How we became connected in the fashion world than to become friends now family is simply amazing. I’m guessing you are wondering how right? How did this link up even occur?
Before I started blogging, I was always stylish but I was more of an introvert. I would speak when spoken to and I was really bad with communication and staying in contact with people. Once I started blogging I’ve often read that it would be good to communicate and reach out to people in your same niche. Of course I didn’t understand why it was so important until this link up.
It all began with our LOVE for hats. Of course being best friend’s with the best milliner in Brooklyn “Terell Shaw Millinery” made this connection possible. This is how the story goes. Stylish Rebelz connected with Terell Shaw through social media, I connected with them through Terell. Who than connected with Mr Adomako through another project and BOOM it was the beginning of when style-preneurs meet.
Fun Fact: I may or may not have borrowed Terell”s hat’s from time to time to wear. Before I actually started to build my own collection.
Lets talk STYLIST REBELZ, these men Darvel and Seon started off as runway models. And every year they worked on elevating in the fashion world, by modeling Caribbean costumes. They went from doing local fashions shows and print work for brands such as Mas Apparel, Arjona Collection, D Leakes Bowties, Foreign labor, Freedom by Al, Mr Refined and many more. They realized that they were more than just models. They reached for the stars now they are successful creative directors/stylist. They’ve gone on to styling women and men for photo shoots and magazine articles and designers such as, SINGH IN THE CITY, D Leaks Bowties, and many more. They were also featured on Fashion Bomb Daily.
Fun Fact: Darvel’s 2yr old daughter is totally my best friend.
Meet TERELL SHAW… you might know him as Tallrell on instagram. This gentleman not only brings us style and sophistication through his custom-made mens wear. But his hat collection is everything. He’s made custom crowns which are frequently worn by a number of high-profile clients, including Tweat, Hannah Stoudemire, Duckie Confetti, and Serge Ibaka (featured in Afropolitan magazine) to name a few. He’s definitely my favorite go to hat stylist when I need one.
Fun Fact: Terell has seen me without my wigs on and no makeup when I’m trying on custom fits. We are totally close now.
It’s all about Biz. Meet Mr Adomako also known as Biz. This gent is from Ghana. Living in Toronto Canada. Which I hope to be visiting really soon. He’s a mens wear stylist and a Barber by day. Biz is a brand ambassador for great companies such as Wood Watches, Brimz Official, Packs Promects, Angelo Igitego Collection, Elnuk styles, Nostrum and many more. Mr Adomako does it all. He can be your wardrobe stylist and personal shopper. He’s fun friendly and to me he’s the ultimate pretty boy. Everything has to be perfect, and he exemplifies that in his work.
Fun Fact: You better be camera ready all the time when around biz because he’s liable to take a picture of you at any giving moment. That’s what pretty boys do catch you when you’re not at your best. Little joke.
It always a pleasure when working with these men. Not only are they super talented but I’ve learned allot from just being around them and watching them work.
We are not just friends any more we are family and I cannot wait to meet other style-preneurs and become friends.
XOXOXO
